Former ‘Angel’ Star Andy Hallett Dead at 33
Andy Hallett, who starred as the friendly neighborhood demon, Lorne, in more than 70 episodes of the TV series Angel, died of heart failure last night at the young age of 33. His agent and friend Pat Brady announced that the actor passed away at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles after a five-year battle with heart disease.
Hallett was also a musician and spent most of his post-Angel career devoting his time to his music. He sang two songs ("Lady Marmalade" and "It’s Not Easy Being Green") on the Angel: Live Fast, Die Never soundtrack, released in 2005.
A private funeral service will be held for the actor’s family and close friends in Cape Cod, most likely over this weekend.
