NGC Presents ‘Garbage Moguls’ for Earth Day
Of course, it wouldn’t be Earth Day without some great “green” programming from the folks at The National Geographic Channel.
In Garbage Moguls, premiering Wednesday, April 22 at 9pm ET, we get a look into one of the world’s most eco-friendly manufacturers, TerraCycle.
The company, once named the “Coolest Little Start-Up in America!” by Inc. Magazine, show how they are redefining green business by turning one man’s trash into treasures. We will follow the TerraCycle team as they successfully develop, create, test and sell two unique products to two major retailers - OfficeMax and Walmart – by turning used billboards into messenger bags, and Oreo cookie wrappers into kites. The program will chronicle the unorthodox creative process ― the brain-racking and stress, the silliness and infighting ― all working to build a profitable business with products composed entirely of trash.
Don’t miss it this Earth Day at 9pm ET!
